High school diploma required.

year health industry/practice experience preferred.
Experience with hospital registration system, third party payers requirements strongly preferred.
Excellent listening and communication skills, computer skills, ability to work independently.
Able to creatively problem solve and establish effective relationships.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Travel to other offices required.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
In a Patient Centered Care delivery model, under the general direction of the Supervisor Scheduling Advocate Program in Physician Practice Administration, and in collaboration with individual practice manager, works directly with patients to schedule appointments within the Jefferson Health Clinically Integrated Network.
Assists the clinical providers and the practice in ensuring the care coordination and population management of patients within the Jefferson Health System.
Essential Functions:
Meets all standards of the Patient Satisfaction Initiative Criteria in order to make Abington - Jefferson Health (AJH) the hospital of choice for Patients and Employees.
Schedules patient appointments in the Jefferson Health System and with independent specialist offices, in accordance with established clinical and insurance requirements and educates, as appropriate, patients/caregivers to improve integration and care coordination.
As an advocate for the patient/system, is knowledgeable of the health system processes and patient needs, and actively streamlines overall scheduling and care coordination of services for patients to ensure appropriate care is accessed in a timely manner to completion of the referral or test.
Coordinates with practice the referrals and insurance requirements to ensure the patient receives maximum benefits for services.
Assures regulatory and compliance requirements following local payer coverage determinations.
Participates in the practices Quality Improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for clinical and non-clinical processes improvements (internal or external to the organization) and makes recommendations to the administrative team to better meet the needs of patients.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
